Esse Is Now Planning Weddings in the Bay Area
After years of building this studio in Atlanta, I've put down roots on the West Coast — and Esse is officially booking in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Some news I've been holding close, and I'm so happy to finally share it: Esse is growing westward. I've made the San Francisco Bay Area my second home — and Esse is now open for weddings, events, and florals here.
Let me say the most important thing first: Atlanta isn't going anywhere. This city made Esse. It taught me how to design a wedding, hold a room together, and show up for couples on the most important day of their lives. I have a trusted team here, weddings on the calendar, and every intention of keeping Esse fully rooted in the place that built it. What's changing isn't that I'm leaving — it's that Esse now has a home on both coasts.
The Bay and Atlanta have more in common than people expect. Both are places where community actually means something. Both are cities where being Black-owned and queer-owned isn't a line in a bio — it's a lineage, a responsibility, and a joy. Both are full of people who care about intention, about design, about doing things with real thought behind them. Esse was built for exactly those people, in both places.
““The same things that define Esse in Atlanta — transparent pricing, design that’s unmistakably yours, and genuine care from the very first conversation — are exactly what I’m bringing west.””
So, Bay Area — here's what Esse offers, now available on your coast: full and partial wedding planning, floral design, and à la carte support like website design, stationery, floor plans, and day-of logistics. Whether you're dreaming up a full celebration or just need a few pieces handled beautifully, there's a way to work together.
And because it's how I've always run things: the pricing is transparent, the design is built around you specifically — never a template with your names dropped in — and you get a florist and a planner in one studio, so nothing falls between the cracks.
To my Bay Area friends just finding Esse: welcome. I'd love to know you, hear what you're dreaming up, and build something that feels unmistakably yours.
And to Atlanta: thank you. For trusting me, for growing with me, for being the place this all began. This isn't goodbye. It's and also.
Here's to a new coast — and all the beautiful things we'll make on both of them.
